Putting Myself Out There

I've been designing stickers lately.

Alongside the writing I'm doing, it's the most creative I've felt in ages. I started out putting them up on Redbubble, which was fun, and then I remembered we'd met a local sticker maker while researching my kid's school project earlier this year, so I ordered a little stack of my favorite design.

And then on Friday I went into my favorite local bookstore, the one where I've seen plenty of bookish stickers, and talked to the clerk there, who complimented my designs(!) and took a sample and gave me the contact information for the buyer.

It's ridiculous and also it made me so, so happy.

And then I realized I haven't been tracking my expenses as business expenses, oops, so I need to go back and recreate those. My spouse suggested I should look at adding logo and marketing design to my website and I definitely need to do some website organizing.

On top of everything else I wrote a poem. A poem! For the first time in ages!

Back to the fiction now, but I'm definitely trying to focus on some website/business stuff too.
