Let Sleeping Blogs Lie
Let Sleeping Blogs Lie
I'm really not good at just letting things sit.
You can probably guess how good I am at meditation (not very) and giving surprise presents (even worse) but in practice this also means that I just can't leave well enough alone on a website.
I'll go through periods where I work on this or that pretty intently, and then I'll get distracted by, oh, I don't know, Fourth Wing fanfic and do nothing but write that for a month and a half. And that's not a big deal, oh well, websites can sit, it's not hurting anything.
Except that when I become aware of it, my immediate impulse is to reorganize everything.
This isn't necessary. There's no reason to shuffle everything around. In fact, starting in on shuffling everything around will just make me more annoyed because I'll get halfway through and then change my mind again. It's ridiculous. But here I am thinking I have too many slashpages and maybe I should move half of them to this blog and this one and that one are out of date anyway and and and…
I should just let it sit.
There's nothing that needs to change right now, and if I wanted to do something for fun that would be one thing but that's not what I want. I feel like I have to fix it, but it doesn't need fixing.
So I'm just going to let it be for at least a few days before I do anything else.
